Yesterday I went shopping in Copenhagen with another exchange student from Chicago. We shopped for five hours looking for a gala dress for me. The Gala(prom) is on October 3rd, so it's coming down to crunch time. After five hours of looking with no success we went back to her house to have Kraft Mac and Cheese, yeah! While we were at her house she showed me her dress she brought from the US and asked if I would like to borrow it. It is beautiful, and it fit! So, dress shopping is done.

After that exausting day of shopping I came back to Helsingør and went to the movies with some of my friends. We all dressed up like Pirates. You can probably guess what movie we saw, Pirates of the Caribbean. You should have seen the look on everyone's faces when they saw a bunch of teenagers parading in with full pirate costumes, with drawn on beards, caring swords and guns. The Danish movie theatres are very different from the American. First, you have to reserve your tickets ahead of time. When you get there they give you your ticket with your seat number on it. Then you can go get popcorn and treats. The treats are like in a Canday store. They have the buckets of stuff that you can fill a bag with and pay by the weight. The popcorn is not freshly poped but sitting buckets already. They give you no choice of butter. Very disapointing.

The movie was great, and we had a good time. Today I'm going with my host family to a friend's daughters confirmation, and then we are going to the reception.
