I had a pop corn ball disaster. For the Halloween party on Friday I decided I would make popcorn balls. So, I got a recipe and it needed corn syrup. Well, they don't have corn syrup or an equivalent here. I got on the internet and found a substitution for corn syrup(just sugar and water boiled.) So, I made the paste and added my 'corn syrup' and brought it to a boil. Then they wanted me to pour it all over the popcorn and then make the balls. But, the stuff was boiling hot, so I tried touching it and it burned my hands, and then I waited awhile for it to cool and it wouldn't stick. So, I have a bowl full of sugary coated popcorn. . . Good thing Danes don't know what popcorn balls are supposed to be like.
